April Fool
Spectacular weather. Too bad much of my day was given over to a doctor's appointment.
In Winchester, we lunched at Hardee's, as usual. Mary had a Little Thickburger. I had the Turkey Burger.
Our appointment with Dr. Tidmore was at 12:30 pm. I got my monthly injection and Doc joked that I didn't need my ears cleaned this time. Her first April Fool's Day joke, as she told me.

I think you're gonna need dynamite this time.
All procedures and checks for Mary and me took just under two hours. Very good time for Doc.
Tidmore's is one of the few places left where I don't ride my scooter. Pride's a funny thing. So, as we headed home, I was exhausted from dragging myself around on my two full-length leg-braces. Have lost a lot of strength in the last few years. Use the left brace only when I have to drive the Durango. Mary refuses to drive at night or any distance from home.
81 °F. We only stopped at Fritz's Market in Fayetteville to gas up.
At home, brother George brought me a check from Equi-Tech for Mother. I told him that at times the Durango seems to get stuck in second gear. He later made inquiries and told me to see Donny Elder in Cornersville. Now all I need to do is get up the energy to drive down there.
Mary turned on the air-conditioner for the first time this year. That, supper and a few minutes of rest revived me. I scootered down to the outpost. Sunset found me there gazing into the distance. How distance untangles the heart and mind! It was the time and place one dreams about from the hospital bed. It's the time and place where we'll all be, when we return home at last.
65.4 °F, clear.

I sure understand about doctor visits. I have some every month.
Love your photo and doc's April Fool joke. I did not get tricked today. lol
Good Night.

My goodness -- 81 degrees is pretty warm already! Glad your doctor appointments went well.
That's a great picture of you with your doctor! That is an April Fool's that I'd not want! I don't like having doc getting the wax out! I wear leg braces on both legs (foot to knee), & they help a lot, but really get tiresome if I've done lots of walking or driving.
I love the way in which you expressed yourself in the last paragraph -- very poetic!
RYC: Thank you, John. I’m not great with selfies myself, but my granddaughter is pretty practiced at it & does a good job.
Another busy day. Glad you had time for a little reflection and spiritual revival. I have to agree with JusticeMom that the last bit of prosse was poetical in nature!
at the dr. we would order some ear gtts that people could use at home before their apt and it would eat away at the wax so when we saw them a few days later they would be as clean as a whistle
it's an Rx cause you could over use it and then it would eat at the lining in your ears. Maybe she would order for you.
yes, Applebee's is loud but not too noisy.
I am glad all went well at the docs and that you got some sunset reflective time. I love those times.
As for April Fool's jokes, I thought I was going to make it through the whole day without any, but then at my evening shift at the church nursery, someone signed in their kids and in the section where you usually write what room or building you will be in, he put "Peppers", which is the restaurant across the street. When I first saw it, I thought he was serious. So did my co-worker who got out one of the "off campus permission slips" which include emergency information and has to be notified. We were both amused when he told us it was a joke and he really was just in Pastor's office.
An exhausting day, indeed, but you faced with courage.
On the picture we see that you take your pain with patience! You have a lot of merit!
In friendship
