Chicken gizzards and noodles for lunch today, topped off with Mary's usual concoction of tomato, avocado and jalapeño.
Town run. Mailed tax payments at the post office. Deposited a Cosmolab check at First Farmers. Saw to Antonio's business at First National. Bought tomato plants, dahlia plants and a new rosemary at Walmart. On the way home, stopped at Kroger for Mary's insulin. Think I spotted Aubrey Duncan in the parking lot there. Hard to tell for sure after the passage of time.
Mary was setting out the tomato plants when brother George drove up on the golf cart with his granddaughter Leah.
Leah gladly offered to help Mary. Has a lot of expertise in moving things around, especially sand and dirt.Mary is really suffering from her cold-induced allergy. No remedy seems to work.
I just reviewed Cosmolab payments. As I suspected, they sent a late check for the 3-1-14 invoice, but skipped 2-1-14. Designed Conveyor pulled the same trick last year and have yet to pay their 7-1-13 invoice. How do you make an angry smiley?
On George's suggestion, this morning we oiled the PaceSaver's key and key hole. Mary used the oil she has for her sewing machine, Singer Machine Oil. No problem with the scooter all day. Fingers crossed.

I love the picture that you got of Mary shopping for plants! It makes me excited & eager to get started on my plants, too!
I hope we can get to planting soon, but we can still have that threat of frost. I want to get my Brussel Sprout plants asap!
We have two Asiatic Lily plants starting to shoot up. While I do adore Winter, I also enjoy seeing plants grow and burst from the ground.
Love the shot of WalMart's flowers!
Very tasty looking lunch. This is the second time you've posted gizzards - I may be forced to cook my own here soon! I hope the plants thrive in the straw bales. The photo of Leah with a fist full of dirt is great!!
Not sure about the gizzards,, but the mix otherwise looks fabulous.
Leah was happy to water the plant!
didn't know mary needed insulin .

What an unusual meal! I bet it was quite tasty ~
little Leah is a handful I bet but they all like to help don't they?
Reece was really breaking up the dirt clots saying,"my dad is going to be so happy when he comes home and sees all the work I've helped him with." LOL
He told Pop, "you, stay up on the porch." You know his daddy must have said that to him.
