  • drip

Chicken with our salad for lunch.

After nap and coffee time, we headed for the park. On the way, I decided to do something about the oil dripping from the Durango. At Lyons GM, Cory investigated and told me there were leakages from three separate places in the engine. Advised we have the oil level checked fairly often. Solving the problem would cost as much as the value of the automobile. :-(

Cory gives me the bad news.

Moving on, Mary and I drove to the library and parked the Durango next to a Cube there. The approaching necessity of buying a new vehicle was on my mind. I had Mary check to see if the gear shift was on the steering column so I could drive it. No. And, Mary would never agree to such a small car anyhow.

    Gear shift in the floor.

In the park, we made it to the railroad bridge before turning back. Mary rode part of the return trip with me in the scooter. Nature was calling her. Walking made it worse. Not even time to snap a deer posing seductively at woods edge.

Back home, sister Deborah brought some of the blackberries she picked at some farm and baseball-sized peaches. I sampled them for my supper. Later, she called to tell me she had already made over forty pints of blackberry jam.

I accompanied Mary as she watered and weeded.

    A losing battle against crabgrass.

I have been surfing again in no man's land. Bad boy. Already got malware aplenty. Deleted a bunch of junk. Maybe, I won't need another install so soon.

    72.6 °F, clear.

  • oil is cheaper then car payments but in the mean time you can look at new cars but not those little Smart Cars.
I have to have something around me cause as I get older I'm not as good a driver.

  • Only get something you can drive comfortably. Malware? The latest phishing scam is "This is the FBI! We see where you're websurfing. Your computer is now LOCKED! You owe us a $300 fine. Payable at any 7-11." Go figure.

  • I wondered what brand a Durango was . I googled and found it was a kind of big car , a SUV ? I understand that Mary is accustomed with the big cars and the car pictured is small . We have a big old car and a more recent small car to drive in town
In your comment you spoke of coincidence about picking and making jelly of fruits . Soon the blackberries will be to pick here . They are splendid on your picture.
    In friendship

  • Homemade blackberry jam sounds so lovely right now! Toasted English muffin, a bit of butter, and topped with the jam... oh boy!
