Mary took Leah with her to the mailbox this morning. Leah found three sticks she imagined into swords. We played pirate.

Cod fish for lunch, with acorn squash, yellow squash, carrots and tomato. Avocado on the side. Some sad day soon, there won't be any more fresh from the garden eats.

    Leah had Mary's soup.

"Oh, where could Leah be? Hmm."

  • It's such fun to play hide-and-seek!

  • Haha! Leah is at the age where imagination can have free reign! I think Leah's hiding spot is perfect!! We are down to 2 zucchini plants that are still blooming!! I will NOT be sad when there is no more zucchini. Sparky is already whining about the drop off in tomato production. If we continue to have colder nights the tomatoes will soon be gone.

  • Playing pirates would be fun. I am glad that Leah is still able to use her imagination.
As for the hiding spot, kids tend to think if they can't see you, then you can't see them.

  • Time for canning and pickling, from the sound of it.

  • cute hiding place ~ very colorful food ~ :)

  • One of the few regrets I have about our geographic location is the short growing season.

  • Again, love your meals!!
