strangeness
Got up worrying about that lump.
George came by with a check to deposit in Mother's account.
Towards midday, Mary and I headed into town. First, was Bank of America on the square. Mary deposited birthday money for Lina Margarita. Leaving there, we saw Marcelino whiz by on East Church. Off to see about someone's clogged toilet, no doubt.
After depositing two checks at First Farmers, we lunched at Walmart's Subway. Shared a foot-long club sandwich. Beginning to be a habit.

Mary was haled by Dora, a Mexican lady recently from Chicago. She gave Mary some Jehovah's Witness literature. Her good deed for the day.
Dora makes her points.
In Walmart's sauce aisle, we ran into Linda Cox. Odd. It has been no time since we met her in Kroger.
Linda shares a laugh with Mary.
But, strangeness didn't end there. Later, shopping, we ran into Dora again. Then, as Mary was checking out, Dora walked up behind her. A little embarrassed, evidently, she quietly sneaked over to the next lane before Mary noticed.
Strangeness.
Back home, I enjoyed the warm, sunny autumn day at outpost two. Two tractors were busy baling hay in Mother's field creek side. A breeze set my mind to drifting lazily. Something approaching joy.
Mother's 450G John Deere at Outpost Two. (Watercolor effect)
After the baling ended, I watched thirteen turkey meander across that field. I could barely make them out. Then, a group half the size passed through the field. Ah, Nature.
Cantaloupe and tangerine slices for supper.
George dropped off more okra from his garden.
73.1 °F, partly cloudy.

I've taken to drinking veggie-fruit smoothies for "supper", in this ongoing heat. Sounds like you have a similar game plan, with fruit and melon.
I was disappointed that Subway raised their prices... but their sandwiches are tasty. Seems that the people you know tend to shop the same places you do! Either that or they are government operatives stalking your every move! hehe! Sounds like a perfect end to the day - a refreshing supper and relaxing observing nature.
It seems like you bumped into all your friends today in one store or another! I'm glad the day ended so nicely -- almost idyllic!
A little okra goes a long way at my house. I think I planted a half a dozen plants ans still couldn't keep up. Thankfully, I like them pickled.
I try to eat Subway more since their food is more healthy.
I like the way you all find friends while shopping. I never have that happen to me---rarely at least.
Perhaps Dora wasn't embarrassed, that she just moved b/c the line was shorter in the next lane, and she was in a hurry to get out of there.
I'm glad you got to see the turkeys in the field and felt joyous; I would have enjoyed that too.
