  • transport chair

Got up this morning in fairly good shape.

Pork chops for late lunch, with sweet potato, green peas and tomato. Apple and pear appetizers.

After coffees and pumpkin pie, we did a town run. At Walgreens, we bought a transport chair and back support for Mother. $197.72. At Kroger we bought tilapia and a pizza.

Back home, I called niece Stephanie to help put the chair together. Turned out, there was little to put together. That's alright. We had a nice visit afterwards.

"Let's see, number one connects to number two..."

No sooner did Stephanie leave than brother George showed up. I brought him up to date on stuff.

    53.9 °F, clear.

  • Sounds like a very productive day! I hope the chair makes it easier for your mother to get around... Must be nice to have family so close that hey can just stop over for a chat!

  • That looks like a great chair for your mother -- many of the elderly here seem to use chairs that are similar to that -- they're quite steady.

  • pumpkin pie...Yum. I usually have some on Thanksgiving.

I hope you mom likes her new chair. It's nice that Stephanie was able to visit and assist with the putting togther of the chair.

  • I became well-versed in putting together such items, over our five-year struggle. The hardest part was the well-meaning busy bodies who kept trying to shove me out of the way, so they could "show me how". Hope it all works well for your mother.

  • The food looks yummy. I think peas are my favorite veggie.

I'm glad we have people who enjoy putting stuff together. Unlike RighteousBruin's friends, I annoy people by shoving the putting together at them. :P

  • Oh please don't mention pumpkin pie ~ one of my very favorite foods ~ now you have me wanting some!
