once or twice
Firefox on the Compaq quit showing graphics last night. No simple solution in sight. That blows a hole into my partying. No YouTube. Sigh.
Andrea brought Mother, Harrison and his half sisters Sarah and Mary this morning. Delores brought Marion.

Mary served her tasty herbed chicken for lunch, with cheesy Brussels sprouts, macaroni and cheese and stewed Anya potatoes. An indifferent Arizona cantaloupe as appetizer. Afterwards, Mother was disoriented and feeling pooped, so Andrea ran her home before the game of rummy began.
Sarah, Andrea and Mary.
Although her sister Mary became bored with the game, Sarah was quick to learn rummy and ended up really enjoying it.
We all had a good time. I even caught brother Marion laughing once or twice.
Company left. Mary and I watched Bears (2014) from Netflix. Everything you'd expect from a Disney nature film. And, well done.
Today, I saw some hard decisions that will have to be made for Mother in the not too distant future. That aside, this has been one of my better days.

We play lots and lots and LOTS of Michigan Rummy with my mother ~ we enjoy it ~
I'm sorry for the hard decision ahead of you ~ not fun ~
Those hard decisions are a challenge -- I'm so sorry they are coming soon.
It is an awful thing to have to decide a loved one's fate- especially the fate of a parent. My prayers for you and your brother.
The nice scenes of the kids enjoying playing cards is a treat.
A good familial meal followed by the traditional cards game, all générations together This feels good,John.
In friendship

Mary had 3 Aces. Only needs one more.
Your multi-generational family time reminds me of old fashioned Thanksgivings, but you are blessed to have them regularly.
I'm glad to hear you liked the Bears movie. I considered watching it, and a positive review is a good thing.
I'm so glad you were having a good day! The card game makes me nostalgic for card games with my parents and grandparents - whenever we got together the cards appeared! Now I rarely play cards as all Sparky's family does are puzzles and the only cards are Old Maid for the kids... I will add you and your family to my prayers - tough decisions are never anticipated with happiness.
We had 08 and 95 year old sisters living with us for 5 years, then the though decisions came. They younger one actually wanted an assisted living facility and the MIL wanted to stay with us as long as possible--When it became too much she went to a nice nursing home and was in heaven 30 days later. It was a tough time for us, but looking back it was the right choices.

Hooray for another rummy player!
Cheesy Sprouts... hmm. I'll have to try that next time!
Yes, hard decisions are not fun. That's life. Hopefully we make the right ones.
Card games are fun and kind of a winter sport around here.
