  • EMG

Up early. Sunny and cool. Sausage egg biscuits at McDonald's. I-65 to the Franklin exit. Mary deposited money for Antonio and Johnny at Bank of America.

Back south to Columbia. Mary bought therapeutic copper-lined gloves for her hands. As advertised on TV.

We reached Dr. Ruff's office early for my 1:00 pm appointment. Bob performed the Electromyography, or EMG, on my right hand and arm.

    John and Bob afterwards.

    Megan R. Rahmlow, M.D.

Apparently, Bob was a novice in training. Megan R. Rahmlow, M.D. oversaw his work carefully, making necessary suggestions. The electrical shocks of the EMG weren't so bad, but when Doc personally started sticking needles into my muscles and having me flex them, that was a whole different ball game.

I charged Mary with taking an action shot. However, she was intimidated by a look from Doc.

We lunched at Shoney's. Took the buffet. Not impressive at all. I chose meatloaf, turnip greens, green beans and a mix of okra and tomatoes. Indifferent fare.

Still sunny as I drove home. Thankful for three peaceful days in a row.

    50.8 °, mostly cloudy.

  • So sorry the food was mediocre. I've not been to a Shoney's in a long time. The EMG sounds awful! I'm glad it is over for you! Hope the string of peaceful days continues!!!

  • When I first moved down here there was a Shoney's in town. I remember the bear mascott. I remember the breakfast buffet. It was the first place I ever tried grits. It closed several years ago.

Hey, If you are close to I65, and I ever travel north with spare time, we should arrange to meet up. I usually veer off at Mongomery and head over toward Atlanta before carrying on up to New England, but I do have some friends due north and I will now add you to that list. I enjoy meeting my online friends. Seeing you and Mary in person would be nice.

  • We had a Shoney's here many, many years ago ~ thought they were all gone.

  • After many months of not seeing anything from Xanga you showed up in my WordPress feed this morning. It was nice to scroll backwards and catch up. Looks like you've had some challenges.
I am amazed at how much Leah has grown!

  • I would imagine Shoney's meatloaf would be nothing, compared with Mary's cooking.

  • I imagine that compared to your cooking, almost anything you get at a restaurant is unimpressive.

  • I got a EMG last July to check the muscles of my legs. Not so good for some muscles .

    In friendship
