The Compaq's DVD drive went out on me last night.

Nervous today. Visions of losing my ability to breath or swallow on my own.

George caught me still in bed. Brought a check from East Commerce Metals. They are taking my #2 warehouse. Good ole George.

To First Farmers to deposit the check. To Walmart for odds and ends. Mary picked up her new glasses. We ran into Sonny Willis again. That's twice in the same week. Two different places. What are the chances of that?

Lunched on a club sandwich in Subway.

Back home to watch Joe (2014) from Netflix. Nicholas Cage does fine work as a tough ex-con trying to give a fifteen-year-old boy a leg-up on life. Good movie, but the overall atmosphere of booze, smokes, mean dogs and trailer trash, is not calculated to ameliorate my mood.

Mary is helping me put the "in" and "out" boxes in order.

    46.3 °F, clear.

  • So sorry the "what ifs" have been plaguing your thoughts. Nicolas Cage tends to gravitate to dark films and dark roles - not designed as mood lifters!

  • Yay for Subway. I like sandwiches from there.
I like Nick Cage movies (usually) too. I don't think I've seen that one though.
You earn big bonus points for using the word ameliorate in your blog.

  • You sound in need of a good comedy, perhaps "It's A Mad, Mad,Mad World", or "Duck Soup".

  • May you be at peace today, without worry of your health ~

  • Sometimes we have sad visions but those are only visions , like nightmares .
I am still admiring your photos, John

  • That looks like a really nice Subway -- ours are like little closets!

  • I am having worrisome thoughts now since rather suddenly I am having shortness of breath. I have a call into the caridologist.
