    [Wed]

Feeling my weakness all day. With great reluctance and care, I rise from my chair.

Finished off the soup and green peas for lunch.

Blanca paid us a visit, bringing daughters Daniela and Jamie, Daniela's new boyfriend Christopher, and Blanca's friend Nidia. The three older ladies chatted in the kitchen for a while.

    Nidia, Blanca and Mary.

    Mary: The Lady in Red.

But, after coffees and ice cream, Mary sent the young folk out to finish hanging her Christmas lights on the porch.

    Daniela and Jamie assisting Christopher.

Then, it was the ladies' turn.

Blanca and Nidia: It's cold out here.

Blanca and Nidia helped Mary move leaves.

    Autumn fun.

Grandson Johnny called. He has found WoW too easy now, boring. I told him I too would probably stop playing after the free trial period expires.

But, Johnny's a half century younger than I. So, maybe it's not just because I'm old and tired.

    Hold on to that thought.

    37.4 °F, partly cloudy.

  • They say that playing video games and blogging help keep the mind nimble - even as the rest of our bodies age. I figure that is sufficient justification for playing a little online mahjong and the word searches plus my daily puzzle!!

  • Val is right. They wodnered why some Nuns in Europe had low levels of brain disease. They play mind games in the afternoon.

    I love those photos.

    Merry Christmas.

  • No, John, WOW itself gets old and tired- very quickly!

  • Yes, keeping the brain busy keeps it agile? I hope. Looks like fun with lights and leaves. :-)

  • What a gorgeous tree! I love all the red ~

  • I never tried WoW myself, but when I used to hang out at a gaming place that had a lot of computers, I would see several teens and college age people play it for hours every day, a few guys in their 30's even. I am not really into playing violent fighting games, but the sci-fi fantasy aspect I like. I am curious what you chose your character to look like. can you take a screen shot of it for us?

I like your red themed tree and that Mary wore all red next to it, with a red door and porch behind. Red is a nice bright color on cold dreary winter days.

  • My neighbor is a big wow player or used to be before she started working. Sometimes she would get paid for game tips.
