Everybody showed up today.
Mother was in top form and Marion's new medication seemed to have improved his symptoms.George dropped by briefly with a check to deposit for Mother.

Beef smothered in onions for lunch, with seared okra and baby potatoes. Apple, pear and grape appetizers. Lemon merengue pie for dessert.A good two-hour game of rummy followed the meal. Andrea won easily.

Kind of looks like a game we play ~ it is called Michigan Rummy.
Pretty soon you'll have to deal Harrison in! He looks like hes catching on!

I shed tears today for the passing of a friend. I just found out, and am truly saddened. I believe he is now in Heaven, pain-free, living amongst angels, but I know that loss is always hard, and so I send continued prayers for the family and friends of this dear man.
John was a faithful and consistently supportive friend. I will miss him terribly, especially here. My condolences to Mary, Granny and all the family. Please know that you are always in my heart.
