  • Sony DSC-RX100M II

Town run. Waste disposal, First Farmers, Supermercado, Kroger.

Rotisserie chicken for lunch, with steamed asparagus, seared sweet potato, beets and spicy pickled cauliflower. Pear and grape appetizers.

We watched Barbara (2012) from Netflix. German with English subtitles. An East German doctor is punished with an assignment to a small remote town. Eventually, she discovers there are things more important than escaping to the West. Pretty good.

The Sony DSC-RX100M II came while we watched the movie. Excitement mixed with negative feelings. The camera is bulkier and much heavier than expected. Controls are stiff and difficult to manage with my right thumb. Windows XP apparently doesn't accept the 64 GB memory card that came with the bundle. And, low light shooting in the Auto setting has not gone well. Picture quality is the big test. That should come tomorrow. Fingers crossed.

    36.9 °F, overcast.

  • Hmm. If the camera takes good photos, will you keep it or find a different camera?

  • Zeiss is a very good lens. I hope the controls become easier to use as you adjust to the newness of the camera!
