Ruff

The appointment with my neurologist was for 1:40 pm at the medical building adjacent to the hospital. We arrived in Columbia in time to lunch at O'Charley's before seeing the doc.For Mary, O'Charley's means O'Charley's Over-Loaded Potato Soup. She had a bowl. (288-290 calories) I had a cup. (166-170 calories) We shared four rolls. (130 calories per roll!) Two cups of coffee rounded out the order.

Jeffry C. Ruff, Jr., D.O
Dr. Ruff was pleasant enough. Asked a few questions and made a rudimentary examination. Bottom line, there has been no medical breakthroughs in the sixty years since I contracted polio that could help my deteriorating condition. No news there.Oddly, a calmness began to take me over as I drove home. It remains with me.
70.3 °F, mostly cloudy.

It must've been rough growing up with a name like Ruff. He looks gentle though, unlike his name's homophone.
calm is good ~
whew, you are braver than I eating that delicious soup ~ I always chicken out and order the salad ~ which probably has bunches of calories too with all the yummy things they put in it ~
Those soups are deceptively full of calories - but very tasty!! I'm glad you have a calm spirit tonight. The touch of God can soothe the troubled soul... Hoping peace remains with you.
That looks like a delicious soup! Polio was a nasty disease -- I'm sorry that there are no new breakthroughs, but glad you remain calm about it!
The picture of the soup you presented was on my mind, and so today, when I made lunch, I had chicken potato soup.
Oh man. I want some of that soup. And is that crumbled bacon on top?? Ohhhhhhhhh boy.
:-\ about the doc appointment, but I'm glad that you are still calm with it.
Yep. Bacon.
The soup looks great- hope it wasn't too salty. I had a fine bowl of shredded beef and potato chili- no beans, and rather mildly spicy, at one of my favourite local spots, called Raven Cafe. They frown on photos of their food, though.
