  • flat-out

We had Christmas guests yesterday evening. Humberto, Blanca and their kids William, Daniela and Jamie. Blanca's sister Martha and her kids Claudia and Javier. Nidia. Terry and Gloria Einhorn. Eleven in all. Tamales, loud music and much talk. The party lasted till past 2:00 am this morning.

The Einhorns left. The rest stayed over. While some were still in bed, Mary and I headed to the family dinner at the Pink House, arriving at noon. We helped Mother hand out 38 cash gift envelops this day.

David, Claire, Sam, Marion, Mary, Anna, Mother.

Harrison was a big hit. Mary made sure everyone willing, held him for a few minutes. Stephen gave in reluctantly. Only sister-in-law Delores refused flat-out.

    Harrison and "Granny".

Left a little early. I haven't been worth a flip for at least two days now. Don't really feel up to taking pictures or posting. Lack of oxygen and the strength/capacity to breathe it.

  • I'm so sorry to hear you are having troubles breathing. I'm hoping the holiday stresses even out and make breathing easier. I was glad to see Marion is home. And your mother looks chipper too!

  • Have a good rest, John. These holidays can wreak havoc with body and soul.

  • I'm glad there was a pleasant happy gathering at your house. Family and friends do help make the holidays.
Lack of breath/oxygen is a scary thing.
I am sorry to hear that you weren't up to doing 2 of the things you enjoy (photos and blogging), but we here in blogworld, understand that taking care of yourself is important, so when any of us take time off from either, we understand. (would miss you though).

  • We're exhausted here too ~ not a speck of energy in my body today ~ :(

  • I'm sorry to hear about your feeling poorly. Hope you get rested up.
I loved seeing all of your guests and co-celebrators.
Harrison would be hard to resist, though he looks like he was getting tired there.

  • My favorit is Granny and Harrison.

    Have a safe one.
